The Ninety-Nine by nwspr published on 2020-04-25T00:29:39Z First week of the quarantine, I'm freaking out a bit (let's be honest) so I stay up late late to watch the ZZ Top documentary on Netflix. Holy shit, I love ZZ Top and I record my best effort knock-off tribute to their revolutionary electronic Texas boggie woogie sound. How did I do? It's recorded in my kitchen so cut me some slack. credits from Quarantine, released April 24, 2020 guitars, bass, keyboards, samples, drum programming, and vocals - mike from NWSPR. Inspiration from ZZ Top, Billy Gibbons, and my dog Sparky - - - - - - - - - - While others emptied the store shelves of toilet paper, one man new he had one chance to get to his storage space and grab every synthesizer, patch cable, vocoder and guitar in his stockpile. NWSPR was in this for the long haul. And Quarantine is his chronicle of the first 5 weeks. Best described as a home brew of Spaghetti Western punk and new wave recorded in the kitchen (between meals).
