Ohad Ethan Bar
Tel Aviv
BIO
Singer-songwriter Ohad Bar's life has been Blues/Indie-Brit-rock-dipped from the late stages of his childhood. Brought up Hassidic ,he had found his "voyage-out-of-religion" at 15 years old. In his songs, most-of-which co-written by other musicians, such as Or Abramovitz and Asaf Rahimof - he draws a couple of pictures, such that contain many images as well as question marks , having to do with him coming to terms with the fact his musical lifestyle has somewhat become an obstacle staring in his very love-life. Living a life which was geographically-challenged, seemed to have pointed out it was the right time for an Album to come to place.
Judging by the playlist, it seems title-song "All I can say" reflects on a rather newer, healthier and better-illuminated relationship knocking on his door.
Recorded in 2015,at Pluto Studios, Tel Aviv- "All I can say" started to take shape and structure with Producer/Guitarist Or Abramovitz intent to make a change and to come up with the sound for the EP. Second in line ,came Bass Guitar player -Yehu Yaron , accompanied by Drummer- Shahar Haziza who have come through the Studio doors to give the album its meaty frame. While vocals' sessions and different sound approaches have been considered and tested, it was both Or and Ohad's idea to try and get on board a breathtaking Brass Trio- most familiar for its continuous and year-round cooperation with the Israeli- A-listed-Funk-band "HaDag Nachash", which gave it all the final urban-like touch Had Brakes seeked. An element so moving..whether you're wandering the streets of Camden Town, or just having a cup of coffee down the art district of Tel Aviv.
I guess "All I can say" is : it was the Band's co-founder Or Abramovitz who had ultimately summarized Ohad's thoughts into an ass-kicking air-wave, Mixed by Mix Artist - Ronen Roth , who ended up immersing the Had Brakes vision into a whole new kind of a musical landscape.
