Heaven by OIYA published on 2019-12-07T16:05:31Z Living in the Caribbean over these past few months and reconnecting deeply with my roots and this earth, has affirmed that heaven is a state of being that we can embody within our waking lives each day. Not just a concept of lightness and love that we should strive to attain in the afterlife, but a state of existing in harmony with ourselves, each other and the planet that we must work to cultivate each day. Through the daily discipline of self love and inner care taking, our worlds begin to transform. I’ve been in deep work over these past years (especially this one) cultivating my internal world to its highest frequency so that my external world can match all of the love, creativity, abundance, and vibes that I feel within. This has taken deep courage to face the moments in my life that left me wounded and small. I’ve had to go back in time, in my memories, and welcome my inner child who witnessed my mother’s abuse — let her know that she is safe now in my arms. I’ve had to go back into my teenage years where I felt isolated, unseen, overworked, misunderstood and abandoned and let her know that she is safe to be herself now, that I got her back. I’ve had to go back into my early twenties and let them know how proud I am of their exploration of themselves. I take back my power from all the spaces it was given away or taken from me, I retrieve all of the parts of my soul that make me whole now. Heaven is accessible by completely demolishing our ego, facing ourselves over and over again. And bringing that self into a state of deep love, compassion and recognition. This mix is one way I will try to transmute what I feel to be Heaven here on earth <3 With deep love, OIYA Track List 1.
