OOTSOMS Records Tokyo OOTSOMS stands for "Ointment On The Soles Of My Shoes". It was originally the title of a song I wrote and recorded with a band called The Locksmiths. In 1997 it became the title of a zine I ran for about 5 years. The zine was about music I liked, plus about my life in Tokyo, and it included some fiction of mine and contributions from various friends. In 2002 the zine mutated into a record label. And that's where we are now. OOTSOMS Records is dedicated to putting out music I record, either solo or with friends. This includes new stuff and stuff that goes right back to the 1970s. I tend to bang things down quickly without too much regard for finesse or what people think. Also like to be a little experimental / self-indulgent now and then. I am using SoundCloud to share samples of some of the things OOTSOMS Records has released over the years. Contact me if you would like to order a CD or a tape.
