FTV 0556 Zappa For President 1991 by PacificaRadioArchives published on 2017-01-24T04:59:03Z On this week’s From The Vault, We Go back to April 15, 1991. Flagship Pacifica Station KPFA in Berkeley California was celebrating it’s 42nd Anniversary, and longtime music host Charles Amirkhanian invited music icon Frank Zappa for an afternoon of Politics. That’s right experimental music and composer who did about as much as one person could do to stretch the boundaries of music and creativity actually considered a run at the Presidency. He felt it would take an outsider to really shake up Washington and I’m pretty sure he would have done that and we’d be all the better for it.
