Pier Paolo Polcari Pier Paolo Polcari Pier Paolo Polcari (also known as Paolo Polcari or just Polcari) was born in Naples and is best known as a keyboard player, composer, and producer in Italian iconic band Almamegretta . Studio collaborations include works with Massive Attack, Adrian Sherwood, Bill Laswell, Transglobal Underground, Zion Train, and many others. At the end of 1999, he moved to London, where he spent two years acquiring a masters degree in film and video composition with Maestro Amit Sen. Several soundtracks for cinema and theatre composed and produced, including "Pianese Nunzio" (Venice Film Festival, 1996), "Luna Rossa" (Venice Film Festival 2001) . In addition, he produces and remixes music for different artists from labels such as Universal, BMG, Sony, and Nun. In 2003, he co-wrote and produced "Wop", the first Raiz (Almamegretta singer) solo album. In London, he works as a producer for dance labels Shoreline, Mikeli Music, and Betchwood; and also collaborates in studio and live performances with many artists and companies. Once back in Italy he continues his collaboration with Almamegretta and produces music for famous national artists such as James Senese and Peppe Barra. Two solo albums to his credit and many remixes for artists from different backgrounds. Side projects (Funsui - Meditronica - Deleted Soul - Polcari&Filoq - LelloFusco&Polcari) Currently producing music for labels Global Hybird Records, Oxhalà Records, Baikal Nomads, Tibetania between others. Since 2013 is sharing his time and activity between Italy and Japan.
