Adding further ambience with vinyl samples, percussion elements and a wavy counter melody. BREAKDOWN: Instantly the lo-fi feel is created once more with a similar vinyl sample, a gentle boombox drum loop is also within the start. An automated panning effect has been drawn in to create a slight depth to the listening experience as the sounds of the atmosphere slowly swing from ear to ear. Again, the police siren is heard. Having crafted its changes in position within the stereo image, I decided to keep the sample I had structured and place it in each track. This was to create a gel between each of the tracks. Each is subtly different but still so similar that they fit tight. The siren fades as the track quickly slides into a faster flowing main melody. The impact being much fuller and sharper than that of the first track, however it still flows with a similar reverb/delay combination. Hi-Hats kick in and the overall feel lifts even more. As a warped bassline kicks in, the entire soundscape is filtered and begins to sound as though it were playing next door at the all-nighter. If listening carefully the listener will hear quiet percussive elements which are more common in the later half of this track. A few bars later, the filter has subsided the gentle floating feel returns. Though this floating pulled out by a harsh tape stop which leaves only the bass melody playing until the tape stop is released and the track flows back into motion. An angelic chorus of tonal ambience begins as the phase of the song begins. Creating a sense of nostalgia and reactivation the memory of the first track, a similar, spacey wobble can be heard playing twice over after this point. Using the same sounds not only gels the tracks together as mentioned earlier but it also creates links in the mind using the music as a trigger. As a finally completed piece, the track plays out and gently runs silent. Leaving the listener to think on the track and their emotional placing within their mind. Presenting...
