Now, hooked on his emotional rollercoaster that the ‘Unfinished’ album is, I feel at peace that someone out there might feel as deeply as I do. ‘Disappeared but not Forgotten’ is a sample taken from the movie ‘Paris, Texas’. The female voice introduces us to a feeling everybody can relate to. The feeling of someone leaving, who had already taken a piece of you. A blessing or a curse, but the voice reminds you, at some point, you’ll forget. 2022-07-17T14:39:38Z Comment by Proper Pull @drmystery – Vecher | Did I mention that I adore the ‘Index Compilation Vol 3’? The next one is a hidden gem that I’m happy to spread. DR MYSTERYS’ vocals sound like an alien living in a dystopian world. ‘Vecher’ sounds like mourning in the best way possible. More direct and more mechanical sounding, I developed a deep appreciation for her work. Go listen to the mourning alien living in a mechanical dystopian world because, why not? At some point you feel at home. (Go check out ‘Together’ on the last release from INDEX Rec. if you want to explore more). 2022-07-17T14:38:46Z Comment by Proper Pull @djrum – St. Martins | Can you believe this guy? Djrum is possibly one of the best producers in the UK and maybe even worldwide. St. Martin was the second release of his and is nothing but a brilliant masterpiece that I go back to as much as possible. His balanced sound is packed with dub references and a masterly sampled collection. With around 10 min., this track is a journey in itself, I just had to include it. Go get comfortable and let the eerie sounding monks take over your soundsystem. You’re welcome. <3 2022-07-17T14:37:32Z Comment by Proper Pull @atomic-moog – Morning Melody | When I think of the French music scene, I don’t think ‘ambient’. And the compilation ‘Crysta Ampullaris’ is packed with different sounds - mostly fast, direct and melodic acid, techno and breaks. So to stumble upon an ambient track in this compilation that I instantly feel connected to, was a nice surprise. 2022-07-17T14:36:42Z Comment by Proper Pull @kingsofty – Pump Capacitator | ‘Pump Capacitator’ starts deep and pulls you in, right from the beginning. This track was my favorite on this compilation and dare I even say, one of the best by the label @indexrecords? Everything from King Softy sounds otherworldly, static yet organic and full of emotion. When you feel melancholic, but the sun seems too bright, go check out her ethereal ambient packed EP ‘Traverse Mode’ to feel understood. 2022-07-17T14:35:01Z
