10 Years :
It's been about 10 years since I launched Pyramid.
10 years of incredible stories, experiences and life moments. I thought it would be the best moment to try to sum up what happened with this project.
After starting Pyramid, I released a first EP which made me work then with 2 people I loved, Thomas Barrandon and Pilotpriest.
It gave me the chance to sign as an artist on the incredibly cool label Kitsune and meet at this moment Crayon which led to a collaborative EP. I still today believe that he is one of the most brilliant producers in France, Kudos to Roche Musique for having him, and me for a track ;)
Signing to Kitsune gave me incredible opportunities, touring all around the world, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Mexico, USA and so much more ...I still can't believe how many landscapes I saw thanks to this.
It made me encounter many people I used to look up as a kid: Daft Punk, Justice, LCD Soundsystem, Birdy Nam Nam, Para One, Flume, Danger, Lifelike, Breakbot, SebastiAn, the Ed Banger crew etc ... I also worked with some of them ;)
Without planning anything, I had the chance to have my work featured in crazy video games, Forza Horizon 2, and if you know me, you know how important games are for me.
What else ? I worked for TV and cinema a lot, and especially had my first American cinema experience, imperfect but I'll never be thankful enough to Max Joseph for giving me this opportunity, leaving Paris in a minute to join Zac Efron and Emily Ratajkowsky to work on a soundtrack. Crazy.
Besides my project, all those years allowed me to try to be a producer for other people, I did it quite rarely as it's not genuine for me, but hey, the first person I produced a track for was Nekfeu, still extremely proud of that Plume's track.
You might also know that I'm a space lover, I created my label Space Designer after that, and planets aligned as I was chosen to work for Ariane, the world's leading satellite launch company and rocket makers. Making an EP to celebrate their 40 year anniversary was beyond expectations, to have the chance to visit the place where rockets are made and to see Neil de Grasse Tyson holding my vinyl. Wow.
To end all those beautiful moments, I also had the chance to meet people that are really important to me today, the guys from Point Point and Record Record, the guy I share my studio everyday with, Jeremy Chatelain, my guitar boy Maxime Tribeche, my management crew at Grand Musique Management, my money maker Maxime Parnotte, my teenage grandpa Thomas Roussel, my brother Aurelien Rubod and so much more ...
I might have forgotten some moments or people, sorry for that.
Now many of you asked me why I stop Pyramid, well after 10 years I felt that I did everything I could under this project, and I'm ready to explore new things, you might already know one of my other alias, Samaran, but don't worry, I'll still create, for me or for others, and the only thing I can say right now is that I'm planting seeds ;)
Thank you, all of you, for all the love you gave me during those 10 years, It's been a hell of a ride but this is just a stop, not an ending.
Love
