Qaz Oslo Qazal Jaffri AKA Qaz is an independent, multitalented artist and songwriter based in Oslo, Norway. He discovered his own identity through music while learning to play the guitar, writing poems and rapping songs from his favourite artists in his free time and during recess at school. Growing up Qaz developed talents such as graphic design, cinematography and editing, as well as joining a band during his high school years. In 2018 he started releasing music after moving to Oslo. A year later he performed one of his first solo concerts at Rockefeller - Oslo’s most popular venue - as a finalist participant in the Emergenza Festival contest, where artists such as Nico & Vinz had previously participated in and won. During the year of 2021 Qaz released the singles "Fjernsynt" and "Kanskje Vi" both being well received by the public, listed on "New Music Friday Norway" and by NRK P3’s "Urørt anbefaler 2021" on the radio. The singles were later revealed to be a part of a larger project, his debut EP "MENS VERDEN STÅR STILLE" released the same year. Qaz is a progressive artist who strives to make each project and release better and larger than the last. Obsessed with narrative and story-driven aspect of music drawing inspiration from artists like Tyler, The Creator, Kendrick Lamar, Arif and Karpe, the artist is fully equipped with a diverse and colourful skillset enabling him to invite his audience into his world visually and audibly.
