rhona Rhona Nolasco London Rhona Nolasco is an inspiring, emerging vocalist currently signed with the indie label Ambiel. She has a versatile, fresh, and friendly approach to her vocals, and whether in the studio or performing live, she has the ability to transform a track or performance with her natural, fun style. Inspired by female vocal artists such as Bjork and Dido, Rhona has trained with vocal coach Kate Radmilovic who played Carlotta in the London production of Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Haymarket. Rhona’s unique vocal style has been described as urban electro hippy and has already captured the attention of many people. No stranger to live performance Rhona has formerly been National Grand Finalist for the Idol UK 2008 national singing competition and her favourite performance to date came at the second I Love Hard Beats (ILHB) – double vision event in 2013 where she wowed the crowd with her awesome stage presence and spot on vocals. In 2004 she met Nick Sanett and a fruitful musical relationship was formed. Rhona and Nick have been written together in various guises, starting out with collaborative work as part of a rocktronica band called Duke Gonzo where she was lead vox and Nick played synth, but they moved on from there to write together in other styles. Since then Rhona has featured on numerous tracks from hardcore to electro to Avant-garde, experimental pieces, with releases through Nu Energy Records. In 2011 she was one of the lead singers in a live drum&bass/dance band called Deckajam, performing at live events/festivals and releasing the album 'Total Jamnation' available on iTunes and Spotify. Rhona brings out the emotional side of DeckaJam through her vocals and lyrics especially where it’s in contrast with the energetic electronic sounds. In 2012 Rhona was the key vocalist in the Hard Beats Collective; she has featured across countless tracks and her live vocal talents have been a main feature at the ILHB events that the collective run in London. Most notable tracks that she has featured on are FM-220 and Principia Mathematica by Douglas, and Slip Away, Feeling Kinda Strange, and Release the Fear by Kevin Energy and Nick 235. Rhona is currently part of an acoustic duo called 'Thought Reflection' performing Top 40's, 80's and 90's pop/rock covers, as well as original material in bars and venues around the London area. rhona’s tracks Set Sail by rhona published on 2018-07-03T18:54:27Z Tell Me Something - Acoustic version by rhona published on 2018-07-03T20:40:16Z
