Room 4 Resistance 22 W/ ADAB - Rádio Quântica (12.09.2019) by Room 4 Resistance published on 2020-01-12T11:12:18Z The show is hosted by R4R resident @docsleep with a special guest mix from @adab in the second hour. As half of Cleveland party Heaven is in You, Miah Benton (adab) puts heavy emphasis on translating the unifying elements between us through djing. Characterized often by their palette of sounds, they made a niche for themselves in Cleveland, Ohio spinning a variety of sounds and venues alike. Having started djing dance music, primarily, as a result of finding Cleveland's queer techno party In Training and being a non binary black youth raised across a few states in the Rustbelt, adab seeks to unabashedly present refreshing perspectives and dialogues for both themself and others. أدب “Adab, Islāmic concept that became a literary genre distinguished by its broad humanitarian concerns; it developed during the brilliant height of ʿAbbāsid culture in the 9th century and continued through the Muslim Middle Ages. The original sense of the word was simply “norm of conduct,” or “custom,” derived in ancient Arabia from ancestors revered as models. As such practice was deemed praiseworthy in the medieval Muslim world, adab acquired a further connotion of good breeding, courtesy, and urbanity. Parallel to and growing out of this expanded social meaning of adab there appeared an intellectual aspect. Adab became the knowledge of poetry, oratory, ancient Arab tribal history, rhetoric, grammar, philology, and non-Arab civilizations that qualified a man to be called well-bred, or adīb.” - Encyclopædia Britannica on “Adab” "Reverend mothers have many memories from previous lives in their brains. When one of these memories pushes itself to be paid attention to, that is adab..." - Frank Herbert (DUNE) Comment by Boo Lean yeee 2020-01-28T00:53:29Z Comment by Jacktone | Dreamtone track id: winslow 2020-01-14T20:27:42Z
