Sounds of the shipyard by Rosanna Ter-Berg Compositions published on 2021-09-14T19:47:42Z A soundtrack created from 126 individual recordings I collected at the shipyard (aka 'werft' in German)in a boat restoration project. It's a nod to the journey of the many people involved working on the boat over 6 weeks : architects, carpenters, mechanics, joiners, artists, painters. Go to my Instagram to see the storyboard with images of the timeframe here: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CSJhwNoAMX5/ This track was used as an underscoring within a social cultural project I composed for: Altenburg am Meer. It was heard at the entrance to an audio walk/puppet show when the audience arrived, when the boat docked at ports and it was featured in episode 2 ('Wasser & Grenzen / Water & Boarders')of the podcast 'In Sinnfluten'. In the podcast it acted as an underscore cushioning a heightened dramatic text delivered by a fictitious mermaid, the emblem of the project. Listen to the whole episode here: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2zutxkbamzrSN0z6kSd2jM I also wanted to make this for the boat team as a sort of souvenir, to capture the memory of their work and team spirit.
