Yet fans of their melancholic perfection include everyone from Peter Gabriel to 2016's hottest act, The 1975. One of those JFK moments As I can still remember I was cutting the grass at my mum's house and I just stopped dead until the song was finished but I never caught the name of it and couldnt fin out how to find out. I didnt hear it again until a few years later when a friend of mine at Uni in Glasgow gave me a tape to listen to. As soon as I heard it I remembered that day in the garden and I was hooked. Thanks to Ken for this terrific documentary. I have not listedn to the Blue Nile for a few years now but hearing those songs took me back to my late teens/early 20s, listening to the album on my walkman over and over again. I still have my treasured 12" single of Tinseltown in the rain on vinyl 2024-01-04T13:27:15Z Comment by User 597281132 Just discovered this utter gem of a documentary. Thank you so much. It brought me right back to being a teenager on the fringes of Glasgow when A Walk Across the Rooftops first came out. That debut is still the best album for me and I've never stopped listening to it and loving it every single time. 2023-05-30T15:52:42Z Comment by Colin Mayer Big fan back in the day.
