Sinoda
Houston
Deriving from the Greek god of beauty and desire, Sinoda is the stage name of Houston, Texas based artist Tryston Obevoen, choosing "Sinoda" as a way of representing today's society idolizing backward desires. Growing up in El Paso, Texas, Sinoda was fascinated by the R&B/Soul genre while also experimenting with minimal hip-hop. He learned to play piano and guitar from an early age, becoming self-taught in singing as well along with learning drums, bass, and ukulele. Taking his talents to the recording studio in 2019, Sinoda is an up and coming artist bringing to the table a multi-genre sound, with songs ranging from Rock and Roll, to Country, to RNB.
Since his breakout single, “Kujo Freestyle”, initially went viral back in March 2020, Sinoda began to find a liking for rapping, opting to drop a 6 song EP shortly after which featured a blend of his new found love for rap with his musical roots. When asked who inspires him, Sinoda will often quote the band Nirvana and its late lead singer Kurt Cobain, followed by Kid Cudi, Young Thug, Drake, and of course, controversial rapper XXXTentacion. Sinoda has since been dropping hot singles with the Florida rapper’s distinct influence in the fast rap tracks “Gorilla Grip”, “Abrakadabra,” and “Double Dutch”. Sinoda has since set his sights on larger goals, aiming to be the most diverse and broad reaching artist of 2021. With his ability to cross many genres, his new found fame, and the many connections Sinoda now has in the industry, the uprising star is certain to soon make waves across the board.
