Public Bodies (2009) by Sam Salem published on 2010-12-30T20:02:48Z Public Bodies explores the theme of voyeurism, both intentional and accidental. We are private bodies caught in the public gaze, we see things that we would rather not, we are simultaneously hungry for attention and yet crave privacy: we are always seen and yet never watched. Public Bodies is a work in three movements. Sonically, the main musical discourse is between the following elements: a human voice (which represents the Self or Inner), the sounds of the city (which represents the Other or Outer) and harmonic and rhythmic material derived from the two. Genre Acousmatic Comment by Cork City Gamelan beautiful textures and motifs and gestures, truly great music for listening to and immersing myself ... without necessarily relating what I hear to the programme 2013-08-16T15:41:07Z Comment by Petty_Vendetta Crunchy-yummm 2012-11-07T20:09:54Z Comment by Wolfgang Kirchheim now that's really interesting music! like your stuff very much! 2011-02-08T21:50:04Z
