One More Journey to the Centre of my Hand (2018) by Samuel Lawson published on 2021-05-10T17:44:15Z Taken from an album, released some distant lifetime ago. Originally performed and released by The Yu-Yi Band, on the 2018 album "All Your Songs are Stuffed, Dead Animals". Lyrics by me. Music written and produced by a guy whose name I can't remember, frankly, but he received his credits and got paid, I'm fairly certain. Mixed and mastered by a bloke who probably doesn't want his name attached to mine, but he definitely got paid, so dw. Song title inspired by Nems, if I remember correctly. This album was concocted and nightmared up in the deep midst of an acid-soaked summer, and some of us didn't make out the other side. It was strange days on docks and in harbours, staring at impossible horizons, hoping to be stared back at. It was cocaine through a straw, off of a china plate. It was the pissing away of student loans, the unwelcomed texture of sand in shoes through holes from the walking, and it was the height of all the abuse. This and two or three others are the remaining sonic artefacts of such a shambles. Dedicated to Sam Warren. I see your ghost everywhere, my brother. Everywhere. Genre Electronic Comment by Samuel Lawson @fsdinleyinter: Yeah?! Really?? Dude that is the SICKEST news i've ever heard. I was so worried that i'd have to like, y'know, hone my craft, and pay for a PR agent, and apply for local radio play. It's great that it's as easy as that. Thanks so much for the tip :D 2021-05-10T18:35:33Z
