Shatter The Vain 78: The Rise Of GankStars by ShatterTheVain published on 2016-02-08T14:01:49Z This is episode number seventy eight of the Vainglory podcast, Shatter The Vain. I’m Brad Chmielewski and this is a podcast all about the touch MOBA Vainglory created by Super Evil Megacorp. It’s back to back episodes this week! Like episode 77 with Vertigo, this is a little bit of a departure from the usual episodes of Shatter The Vain. Let me know what you think and if you’re digging this style of podcast. On this episode I bring on the three co-leaders of GankStars; PwntByUkrainian, FooJee & IraqiZorro. IraqiZorro has been a requested guest for the podcast for some time and I’m finally able to make that happen. The story of GankStars is pretty massive and we do our best to hit on many of the highlights especially focusing on the competitive teams Sirius and Vega. We chat about going to Korea to play Vainglory, winning the first VIPL and the good and bad of second VIPL where GankStars Sirius took home third place. With CullTheMeek leaving, it means changes for GankStars competitive teams and I’m sure everyone has questions about how strong the new Vega will be moving forward. We don’t really dive into GankStars Galaxy much, we’ll have to save that for another episode later this year. No matter what, you certainly can’t argue that the members of GankStars don’t care about this game. Each and every one of them, including myself are trying to make the game stronger and promote it any way they can. I’m excited to see what GankStars does moving forward and how they will cement themselves as an even stronger force in the Vainglory community. If you’re looking for more ways to support the show, besides just listening, then check out Shatter The Vain on Patreon. This is a new style of show for the podcast and I’d love the opportunity to do more episodes like this in the future along with the usual episodes you’ve come to love. If you aren’t able to be a Patreon backer of the show right now, no problem and thanks for listening. Genre Vainglory
