Shirley Levi is a self-taught American Singer/Songwriter/Producer & Activist. Her guitar-driven style and heartfelt, soulful vocals and melodies are an artfully blend of Rock, Country, Folk, Pop and Blues that she calls Shirley RAWk and have earned her endorsements from Gibson Guitars and Marshall Amps. Shirley has come a long way from her days in the San Diego musical underground to open for musical legends Neil Young, The Dixie Chicks, Ryan Adams, Spoon, Ben Harper & Sheryl Crow. Although Shirley writes and produces her own music, she has had the honor of working on one track with legendary hitmaker Val Garay whom has garnered over 100 Gold & Platinum Records (Elton John, Dolly Parton, Kim Carnes, Linda Rodstadt, James Taylor, Seals & Croft, Ringo Star) and whose albums have sold over 125,000,00 copies worldwide. Shirley has been called an ‘Artist to look out for’ by tastemakers KCRW and her music has also been featured around the world on other influential stations such as Indie 103.1 (Los Angeles), KingFM (Berlin), Mersey Radio (UK), Radio Andra (Sweden), WROM (USA), KWSS-FM (USA) and many others. Accolades have poured in from music journals and blogs around the world comparing her haunting vocals to musical legends such as Pasty Cline, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed & Patti Smith.
