Fantasy on Gymnopédie #1 (Satie/eO) by eO - soundsliketree published on 2013-04-14T05:31:36Z This piece was composed for my dear uncle, Ken Hatt, the husband of my father's sister, Susan. Ken passed away in December, 2012. He glowed. He was deeply kind and curious, and I remember him with a big smile on his face. Satie's Gymnopédie #1 was one of his favorite pieces, and I wrote this fantasy for him a few weeks before he passed. I wanted to write music *from inside* the beautifully simple sound world that the original piece creates. I played the piece today at a memorial service for him in Victoria, B.C. Wouldn't feel out of place as a background track on Minecraft, either. 2020-11-17T00:02:35Z Comment by brittanyy_Ha11 i love this song. classic 2018-07-09T13:02:17Z Comment by Nowsley Your version takes me away every time. transcendental stuff. really just now noticing the theramine. 2015-02-12T05:48:24Z Comment by Ramy Lawindy very beautiful remix 2014-08-02T17:28:06Z Comment by Noisy Mushy .o0O oh Lord 2014-07-22T08:59:17Z Comment by Adham.Mohamiid196 how great!! 2014-07-06T01:34:55Z Comment by Coneflower Basement Band Beautiful remix, nicely done. 2014-04-08T22:59:27Z Comment by creative recovery really loving this. amazing work on this version. 2014-04-02T03:13:27Z Comment by Subaqueous Beautiful. I remember first hearing Satie in the early sixties and telling my Dad how much I loved it, but could not explain why. Like this, it is just magic. 2013-04-14T20:13:31Z
