Stanislav Fridman appeared as a solo pianist, chamber musician and principal orchestral pianist on some of the most prestigious stages including Stern Auditorium and Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall), Alice Tully Hall, New York City Center, Skirball Center, Gerald W. Lynch Theater, Center For Jewish History, Spectrum NYC, All Souls Church, Tishman Auditorium, Stiefel Hall at The New School and others. His playing style has been described as “sensual,” “powerful” and “highly expressive.” He has collaborated with some of the leading music organizations such as Martha Graham Dance Company, New York Choral Society, International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), American Society For Jewish Music and Mannes Orchestra. He has performed with conductors such as David Hayes, Clément Mao-Takacs, Gary Fagin, Eric Dudley and Nell Flanders.
As a composer, Mr Fridman is working in a span of genres as diverse as contemporary classical, pop, rock, progressive metal, jazz, film scoring and electronic music. His works have been performed in prestigious venues across Germany, England, Switzerland, Israel, and the United States, such as, Minnie-Hauk-Saal in Schlössli Wartegg, Luzern, (CHE), Petah-Tikva Cultural Hall, (ISR), OPERA America (NYC), National Sawdust (NYC), The Center for Jewish History (NYC), The Dimenna Center (NYC), SoapBox Galley (NYC), Triskelion Arts, and Weill Art Gallery at 92 street Y (NYC), Warwick Utilitarian Chapel (UK) to name a few.
While Mr. Fridman writes extensively for solo instruments and chamber music, his true passion lies in writing music for contemporary dance. He was commissioned to write several original pieces for Alison Beatty Cook Dance Company (USA) since 2019. The collaboration with the company’s artistic director, Alison Cook Beatty resulted in works such as “Sound of Thunder” (premiered in 2019 at Salvatore Capezio Theater, NYC), “From My Window to Yours” (premiered at The Alison Cook Beatty Dance Virtual Performance and Gala in 2020), and “Beat-léro” (Performed at the 2021 DUMBO Dance Festival).
Mr. Fridman was also previously commissioned to write works for New York Fashion Week, “High Maintenance" television series (HBO), Videmus Omnia fashion brand, New York Summer Fashion Explosion annual luxury fashion event, Intertwining Arts, Peridance Company (CHE/USA), Rovaco Dance Company (USA), Future Blend Project (UK), The Rhythm Method string quartet (USA), the Mannes Orchestra (USA), and A Closer Look ensemble (USA).
