Based in Germany, DJ and Producer TEKNO, a native of Cologne, was captivated by Electronic Music from a young age, inspired by local icons Blank & Jones.
In 2009, he founded his studio, dedicating himself to DJ'ing and pioneering soundscapes. This commitment earned accolades from industry giants like No.1 DJ Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Rank1, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Paul van Dyk.
TEKNO has illuminated legendary stages alongside Above & Beyond, ATB, Cosmic Gate, Gabriel & Dresden, Mark Sixma and Sander van Doorn. His role as an event promoter with his brand AWAKE resulted in three consecutive sold-out shows at the esteemed Bootshaus Club (#6 DJ Mag) and orchestrating a stage at Parookaville Festival, thrilling 5500 fans.
His productions, notably 'Big Keys', have received widespread acclaim, earning 'Track of the Month' by Kyau & Albert, alongside praise from Alex M.O.R.P.H. and Aly & Fila’s FSOE show. 2022 saw the release of "Own The Sky" with Shannon Hurley and DJ T.H., and the celebrated “Make U Mine” with Grammy-nominated Richard Bedford on Andrew Rayel's label.
The launch of his event-cycle RiSE in 2022 marked a new chapter in Cologne’s nightlife, showcasing talents like Richard Durand, Artento Divini, Hel:Sl0wed and Natalie Gioia.
2023 unveiled TEKNO's enigmatic side project RWRKD with DJ T.H., reinvigorating classic tunes with a modern twist. Their rework of Haddaway's "Life" topped charts for nine weeks on Germany’s Sunshine Live.
The year also saw the return of RiSE XXL with 12 artists in the famous Essigfabrik, featuring Headliners Markus Schulz, Andrew Rayel and Bryan Kearney, bridging past and future sounds.
In November, TEKNO debuted his label, Sound Escalation. The inaugural release, a RWRKD cover of ATB's hit 'Let U Go' featuring Roberta Harrison, echoed his innovative vision.
