Thabile Beauty Nsele stage name (Thabie Ngethe) Born: 25 May 1989 Empangeni resides at Richardsbay KwaZulu Natal, Afro Soul singer song-writer and performer.
Drawing on various South African & African styles such as Mbaqanga, Marabi and traditional Zulu and Xhosa fused with contemporary elements from jazz, funk, rock, gospel, rap, opera, reggae and West African music, she continues to produce fresh and exciting sounds. The ability to be vulnerable on stage to send a strong message is a rare skill which takes years to perfect, but for Empangeni born musician it comes naturally.
She has releases some self-composed tracks that respond to the extreme levels of femicide, domestic violence, ruthless killings, sicknesses and various social ills, while imploring for divine intervention.
In both songs, she used her vulnerability and fused it with her alluring deep but soothing voice and lyrics to send a strong message about the scourge of gender-based violence, condemning the plague.
‘Sekwanele means ‘enough’, and it’s about a married woman who is being abused. Umkhuleko is a prayer against all the pain, darkness and everything we are facing in the world,’ said Thabie.
Her infectious music and singing style have a universal appeal and her lyrics carry powerful and poignant messages. Her care-free way of performance she has been noticed by her fans.
Thabie has worked with multi award winners in the music industry while recording at Kuwe Records she met one of her role models Mama Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
Growing up at home she's best known for singing along to every song .
She was inspired by The Late Legendary Mama Busi Mhlongo, Letta Mbuli, Miriam Makeba, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and all kinds of Afro-Soul/Jazz, RnB Classics, Gospel, Afro-beats & Deep house every song that carries a massage through out the whole world.
Thabie Ngethe has signed a co-publishing contract with Sheer Publishing Africa and Wandile Method Publishing promises to release her Album in 2022.
