The Runners The Runners Miami Beach The Runners drive electronic dance music down a different lane. The celebrated production duo of Dru Brett and Mayne Jackson transported their inimitable style and patented "Miami Bop" to the center of the dance floor for the very first time in 2014. Given their track record as bona fide pop and hip-hop hitmakers, the pair stand poised to ignite a perspective shift in the clubs and beyond, bringing an intoxicating flavor of their own to the game. Lifetime friends, "Dru Brett" and "Mayne Zayne" first crossed paths way back in kindergarten. The Florida natives maintained a close connection despite moving apart at 13-years-old. A shared musical dream brought them back together, and they began collaborating on tunes in 2000. They got the entire industry talking in 2006 after producing the quintuple-platinum smash, "Hustlin'," for Rick Ross. Soon, everybody from Lil Wayne and Chris Brown to Usher and Mariah Carey sought them out. They garnered a nomination for "Producer of the Year" at the 2008 BET Awards and even crafted music for television programs such as America's Most Wanted. Other high-profile credits include Rihanna's multi-platinum singles "Cheers (Drink to That)" and "California King Bed" as well as Cher Lloyd's "Swagger Jagger." The boys even received a Grammy Award nomination in the category of "Album of the Year" for their work on Rihanna's Loud. However, they began to find inspiration from a different fountain altogether in 2011. "We heard Swedish House Mafia's 'One,' and we were blown away by the production and fresh sound," the guys agree. "Their creative process was fascinating. It was at that moment, that we really immersed ourselves in electronic music. We had always been fans, but this proved to be the tipping point." The multi-cultural twosome made their formal artist debut at Winter Music Conference 2014 in their hometown of Miami, and the live show transfixed everyone in attendance. Now, they'll be delivering that same energy to audiences globally as they hit the road. "For over a decade, we've had the privilege of working with the absolute best singers, songwriters, and producers in the world, and we're bringing that experience to house music," The Runners leave off. "We want people to feel this music, have a good time, and get loose, while touching on some real emotions. This is electronic music with feeling and a pulse."
