The Promised Land by Oskar Strömberg published on 2022-01-20T06:09:18Z After almost 1,5 years I was finally able to release this song. It has been a long process writing och producing this one for me. It has been recorded in my appartment, I have played all the instruments by myself and have had the help of my sister with some of the vocals. Hope you enjoy :) Listen on spotify here: https://open.spotify.com/track/0zFoX2BkRI7xZHyytJAiW7?si=15059d92e07642dc Lyrics: I've come from a land of chaos and sin looking for the land of the saints and the kings and they asked me of my patience and time but I could not spare them as much as a dime fumbling in the pockets of a man who is blind they'll save my heart for another time and I've been walking with that marching band where the water runs deep where we once roamed the land but you won't see me fall or struggle to stand just to be touched by your rugged hand I would cast what I owe and crawl through the sand oh I'm tall and proud with that marching band and on these cities dirty streets where the queen dared not set her feet there my broken body creeps by the house where only a wise man would sleep and the angels above do they know how it stings cause I can't seem to here just what they have to sing I've come from a land of chaos and sin looking for the land of the saints and the kings now these towns and stations all seem the same to me their memories of the things that brought me to my knees where my fathers would walk until their feet would bleed oh I'm looking for the land of the plow and the seed Genre Folk & Singer-Songwriter Comment by ZOA love the melodicism 2024-01-10T12:58:24Z Comment by Karlit-O-Kay (K-O-K) Beautiful Guitar 2023-07-11T04:10:14Z Comment by Owen & Hill Love everything about this song, amazing you played all the instruments...excellent lyrics...the harmonies are hauntingly beautiful...this is as good as anything I've heard and its quality fits right in with artists like Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Parker Millsap, and Ruston Kelly...straight to the top of my playlist! I feel there must be a mystical musical portal from Sweden to here in Kentucky. Sam 2023-02-02T00:17:06Z Comment by James Whiteman Great lyrics with nice imagery. Loving the gentle build. Fabulous vocal for the excellent lyrics. Your sisters voice works very well with yours, adding yet another dynamic along with all the various acoustic instruments. 2022-01-20T06:46:44Z
