DAGBOK 1968 - 3 by Ingvar Loco Nordin published on 2021-09-16T13:13:44Z 1968 continues. I work for a while with the outcasts of society, burning sticks and twigs in the forest around the town of Oxelösund, until my brother Rolf sees to it that I get a more interesting summer job at the metallurgy laboratory at the Steelworks. Work makes me calmer and allows me some self respect, which I am in need of. I socialize more with a pal I haven't mentioned much before, Karl-Gunnar Trygg (Calle Trygg), as well as with Calle P (Calle Pettersson) who hangs out with Eva Byegård. Another friend is Sture Östnäs, who had come with his military father from Luleå in the spring of 1967. Göstas Café remains the main hang-out, with some competition from Berns by the town river. Martin Luther King is murdered, as is Robert Kennedy. I turn quite a bit more political, on the left. We all oppose feverishly against the US war in Vietnam. On 3rd May we go to Båstad and the tennis court to stop the match between Rhodesia and Sweden, and we succeed. Genre DIARY / DAGBOK
