The Memories Of A Sunken Ship by matarison published on 2022-07-29T10:16:15Z The inspiration for this was seeing the somewhat sad skeletal remains of boats alongside the River Medway & Thames Estuary & imagining what glorious pasts they may have had, travelling across vast oceans to distant lands. The beginning is slow to reflect the sad static current existence of these ships. Then huge "muddy" sounding chords build up to try to create the feeling of them lifting themselves from the mud, before re-living their romantic past in a lushly arranged middle section. Finally the orchestra subsides to leave them back in reality: a sad remnant of the past left to rot in the mudflats alongside the estuaries & rivers of Britain.
