Vasileios Panousis Vasileios Panousis Bremen Vasileios Panousis was born in 1985 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is a Composer, Musicologist and Pianist. He began his composition studies with prof. Leontios Hadjileontiadis at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, where he graduated with his Diploma in Composition. In 2017 he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Composition at the University of the Arts Bremen, where in 2019 he obtained his Master’s degree under the guidance of prof. Jörg Birkenkötter, prof. Kilian Schwoon and Daniel Smutny. His works have been performed in Greece and in Germany. “Three Wise Monkeys”, his first flute solo, was played by Patricia Surman at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki in 2014. “In One Piece” was performed by the Hellenic Ensemble of Contemporary Music in the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) in 2015. In June 2017 Panousis presented his electroacoustic piece “Drosoulites” composed for the Sound Dome, at the ZKM / Center for Art and Media in Carlsruhe. Later that year, his piece for prepared guitar and flute "03.14" was performed in the Thessaloniki Concert Hall (Megaron).
