Hudson Mural Project: Self and City (Sound Mural) by Victoria E. published on 2022-06-17T18:38:52Z In collaboration with The Hudson City School District’s Expanded Learning Time (ELT) and with support from the Bliss Towers Housing Authority and community, The Hudson Mural Project brings you the public sound mural, Hudson is Home. As recipients of a grant from the Hudson Arts and Humanities Fund, a fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Bridget Smith (educator and Enrichment ELT Instructor), Louise Smith (painter), and Victoria Emanuela (sound artist and author) worked closely with sixteen students in fourth, fifth, and eighth grade to explore the concept of Self and City around the topics of identity, race, and the power of community. These discussions culminated in a public art installation that illustrates and shares with the wider community the many voices of Hudson. Genre Storytelling
