Vivette Pami Walker Chris Holmes Kendal Vivette Biog vivettemusic.com PAMI WALKER Pami started her singing career in Cumbria working in hotels and in working men’s clubs. She followed her passion back to her home in London, where she established herself as both a live and recording artist, performing sessions in various London Studios for such luminaries as Patrick O’Neill (A&R at Mute Records), Yoyo (writer at The Strongroom) and Big George Webley (TV theme writer & arranger) effortlessly crossing over musical genres. She has also worked with well known writers and producers such as Wookie and David Newall of Soul II Soul fame, Pete Voyager recognised for remixes, Julian Gordon-Hastings (the drummer in the famed KLF band) to name just a few. Pami is in her element singing an array of genres anything from live drum and bass, R&B and easy listening. In February 2012, Pami found herself back in Cumbria and found that this was the right time to follow her musical path. After building and directing a successful show performing as a Kylie Minogue impersonator (www.thekylieeshow.com) she has also rekindled her love for song writing, some of which were included in the set. Pami met Chris Holmes in June 2013 and started working on a new project writing original material. Pami got to work writing lyrics and Chris started writing music which quickly gelled into a collection of songs which we are now ready to let loose on the world! CHRIS HOLMES My musical career started in Manchester playing guitar in various rock bands. After moving to Cumbria I joined a folk-rock band called Ahab and we played gigs far and wide including Knockengorroch in Scotland, Newcastleton Folk Festival, various pubs and clubs and finally at Solfest with the likes of The Undertones. When Ahab disbanded I formed Oceanfield with Jane & Steve Hartley (the singer and drummer from Ahab). We started to write our own material and got signed to Stone Island Records. Our first album ‘Stolen Time’ started to sell, the gigs came in and we were on our way. We played lots of venues around the North West which included The Cavern Club in Liverpool and playing support to Hawkwind at The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal. I have also worked as an engineer/producer on a project with Paul Fenton (T Rex drummer). I met Pami in June 2013 and we started writing songs together. Pami writes amazing lyrics and she inspired me to write music again which has always been a passion but had been ‘on the back burner’ for a while. We quickly found our feet and formed Vivette. We have been busy writing and recording and are now ready to share it with the world! We look forward to seeing you on the road!
