Singer and songwriter, Wagner Torre has had passion for Music since his early childhood, but started actually developing his talent and skills at the age of 13, learning to play acoustic guitar and performing in school festivals as a singer. Some years later started performing in bars, pubs, events and TV shows in his homeland, Porto Alegre, Brazil.
During his adolescence he took an Extension Course of Vocal Technique with emphasis in Lyric Chant (Classical Music) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), which helped him to develop and perfect his techniques and abilities for Pop interpretation. During that time, Wagner started writing his first original songs.
His repertoire consists of Pop, Rock, Contemporary Jazz, R&B, among other styles, and in Wagner’s cover performances, he interprets songs from established artists internationally renowned such as Elvis Presley, Beatles, Michael Jackson, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, among many others, that have actually exerted great influence in his career.
In the songs from his own authorship, Wagner Torre also uses as essential tools in his performances, his knowledge in different languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian and his native language Portuguese), giving more credibility and feeling to his interpretations.
In some of his original work already recorded, such as Hold Me and It Wasn’t The Right Time (this one written in partnership with the also Brazilian guitarist Daniel Rayol), it is notable his dancing vibe Pop style with catchy lyrics.
Currently, Wagner Torre is in the process of concluding his EP, which is being produced by Bulgarian Musician and Producer Stoyan Stoyanov with co-production by Wagner Torre himself, and will compile a selection of songs from his own authorship, such as Smile, Josie, Crazy Love, My love for Granted, If I Don’t Love You, See the Light, among others.
