Warehouse86 Michael Smalley London Warehouse 86 is a modern rock band that hails from the state of Kentucky. Their influences span multiple genres and allow them to hone their craft with heavy, melodic guitars, catchy, in-the-pocket drum beats and a thick underlying bass. Their emotional vocals, driven by thought provoking lyrics offset their music, yet somehow manage a cohesion weaves stories within sound. Warehouse 86 manages to carry over their aggressive, relentless drive in their song writing, live performances and promotion. They are now in the process of following up their successful digital EP, Failsafe, with their first full-length album. Entitled Rusted Memories, the album provides a thought provoking, intriguing stance from the moment the title is read. During the writing and recording process the songs and even the album idea as a whole evolved considerably; eventually coming to light as a concept album. Rusted Memories will release in the Summer of 2012, in which Warehouse 86 will follow up with a series of shows throughout their home state and the surrounding areas. Not complacent with just performing, the band has helped numerous other musicians venues and promoters, trying to ensure that everyone has a good time and is able to put on and see the best show possible. Also not ones to sit idle, Josh Duke (Bass), Andrew Sexton (Guitars & Vocals), and Michael Smalley (Drums) have put on and participated in shows to support multiple causes. Warehouse 86 has also shared the stage with the noted independent acts Shattermask, and Cipher. In his spare time Michael Smalley applies his skills as a graphics designer, designing logos, artwork for albums, flyers and merchandise for not only Warehouse 86 but other local musicians as well. Ultimately, the goal of Warehouse 86 is to provide a soundtrack of escape to ghosts that follow everyone's personal issues. To give everyone the focus to face whatever may come. Including themselves. To do this, they tap into what they have been carrying around for quite some time. From the initial stages to the conclusion, each song provides an identifiable likeness for all to hear. As it helps the band learn and let go, they hope the music manages to do the same for the many that listen to it.
