double isolation (disquiet0496) by wasabicube published on 2021-07-05T04:43:48Z For this I isolated in two ways. The first was using zplane's Peel to isolate a limited number of frequencies from the final mix of my Recirculate (https://soundcloud.com/wasabicube/recirculate) track. The window of frequencies was modulated rhythmically. This track was, in turn, passed through Unfiltered Audio's SILO and forms the bass backing of the subsequent track. Next I took a synth part from the original track and sidechained this into the first track using AudioThing's Motor, passed it through a chromatic resonator, and modulated filter to complete the first track. The second track was a Felt Instruments Ciemno played through automated Sinevibes Luminance shimmer and Eventide Blackhole reverb. By way of attribution, this track is based on a remix of a track I created that was based on MIDI extracted from Blackstrobe's remix of The Rapture's Sister Saviour. --- More on this 496th weekly Disquiet Junto project – Isolation Room (The Assignment: Create new music around one strand of something you made in the past) – at: https://disquiet.com/0496/ More on the Disquiet Junto at: https://disquiet.com/junto/ Subscribe to project announcements here: https://tinyletter.com/disquiet-junto/ Project discussion takes place on llllllll.co: https://llllllll.co/t/disquiet-junto-project-0496-isolation-room/ There’s also a Disquiet Junto Slack.
