weems Silver Point, TN "eclectic" is probably the best descriptor for my music. Clearly influenced by my lifelong musical preferences --rooted in the british invasion, 70's prog rock, and jazz/blues. Steely Dan and Pink Floyd are significant influences, as are The Who and Zeppelin. Lyrics are either in the works or available for many tunes/song fragments, but I'm not quite ready with the vocal tracks on most. Most cuts are rough drafts--often first and second takes. Most grooves are part of larger "concept"-type projects--throwback to the days when an album had a theme....working on the proverbial "Rock Opera" as well. As the icons of our youth pass one-by-one into eternity (at an increasingly alarming rate) the sad realization is that we have only those precious few moments captured on 'tape' to remember them by--hopefully my music pays homage to the likes of Townshend, Page, Gilmour/Waters, Becker/Fagen, and countless others who have aided my search for a greater meaning to this Life. They "got it". Perhaps some of us did too... weems’s tracks 10 The Suspense Is Killing Me by weems published on 2014-03-22T14:17:58Z South of the Mason-Dixon Line by weems published on 2014-03-21T23:54:46Z 05 back in time/\forward thinking by weems published on 2013-07-12T15:57:39Z 07 cheatin' yourself by weems published on 2013-05-11T15:30:32Z 15 Farewell! by weems published on 2013-05-11T15:16:17Z 02 he's got a gun by weems published on 2012-06-24T14:30:04Z 10 saved by the bell by weems published on 2012-05-06T15:01:30Z 13 can't help myself by weems published on 2012-05-06T12:53:43Z 11 disaster drill by weems published on 2012-05-05T14:33:38Z 01 Funk Breakers by weems published on 2012-03-30T11:02:55Z
