Jerome Wilson - Boxing, business and brain injuries by WhistleBump published on 2016-01-10T22:48:55Z On 12 September 2014, in his 11th professional fight, Jerome was knocked out in the sixth round. He never got up. He was rushed to hospital and spent ten days comatose. He had suffered a subdural haematoma, a large bleed on the brain. Jerome's future is uncertain, but he knows he is lucky to be alive. I spoke to Jerome and his fellow boxers about their views on the sport, the business and the support available to fighters when things go wrong in the ring. It was fascinating to hear his perspective and those of an an ex-world champion too, so hope you enjoy listening. Genre Boxing podcast
