William Cansler 1 William Cansler I come from a musical family. When I was around 5, I used to curl up around the foot pedals of a piano and listen while my aunt played melodies from her 3rd grade book. My first instrument was drums. I played bass drum and timpani in my junior and senior high school years. Had my rhythm down, but didn't really start doing anything with music except collect it. At first, I was getting a hold of novelty/comedic music. I was hooked. Rock n Roll had me by the soul by the time I was 8-9. By the time I was 14, My mother own and operated a radio station out of Tijuana. She used to receive "cutting edge" songs from record labels to put on the air. What didn't fit in the station's format she threw away. Yeah, it went to me. I was collecting lots of rock bands and performers on vinyl. At the tender age of 27, I picked up a guitar and I knew it would change my life. From there I practiced almost every day, and after about 3 months I was ready to be in a band. My first band was called "Madd Hatter". We played mostly rock songs from the 70's to the 90's. We lasted about a year, and not long after that I became a D.J. at a local radio station. Working in the station inspired me to invest in recording equipment, and start making my own songs. From 1998, I bought basic equipment and (then) a good computer to start the dawn of my career in recording my own music. In the spring of '00 I moved to Kansas to get a music degree, but started a band instead. We played in and around several different towns and cities for about a year, all the while making personal songs about my travels and feelings. Now I'm in Florida with better equipment, and still more ideas to set to music. Never satisfied with what I'm putting together, I'm always in need of any realistic feedback I can get. My mind is dead set on making music that everyone can embrace. I want everyone to experience the feelings and emotions I've experienced over the years. Some good, some bad. Some happy, some sad. It's all about life, something we only get one of. Hope you enjoy what I've made, and I hope you'll leave me with feedback. I would love any questions or comments you care to give me!!
