Young L.O.R.D.’s illustrious career as an Emcee, Producer, and Songwriter began in Kentucky when he was a Freshman in high school writing rhymes in the margins of his class notes. The musings of a young boy quickly became the words and lyrics of a seasoned artist and rapper as his passion for his art pushed him to make progress at lightning speeds. Early in his career, Young L.O.R.D. was challenged to write intelligent rhymes on a gamut of topics within only a few short minutes; after performing his rhymes to a sea of community success, he was named Young L.O.R.D. by a fellow emcee. L.O.R.D. stands for Lyricist On Real Diversity, a name that any rapper would be honored to carry. This is the moment Young L.O.R.D.’s career began. From this point on, L.O.R.D. has been breaking through the hip hop community leaving a trail of success, acclaim and respect in his wake.
Young L.O.R.D. has opened for numerous, well known, headlining acts including: Trina, Clipse, Too $hort, Nappy Roots, Busta Rhymes, Cee Lo Green, Akon, Jadakiss, Lil Scrappy, Yung Joc, and Lil Flip. He has been featured on the Outwork Me tour in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida and made it to the finals of a local Def Jam competition despite the long list of 50 other competitors.
L.O.R.D.’s songs and productions have been heard on a wide array of media avenues including national television and radio. From his debut mixtape, “50-60-75”, has been requested to feature in the Midway released video game L.A. Rush that features a star-studded musical cast including Twista and Bill Bellamy. Recently, “I Gotta Know” has been featured on VH1’s 40 Most Shocking Break-Ups and Style Network’s How Do I Look, “She Out There” has been in daily rotation on 107.9 The Beat radio station, and his video “Get Lifted” is gracing the 2DopeBoyz.com site. Young L.O.R.D.’s production skills and achievements have now been heard internationally through his contributions and work with artists such as Diamond of Crime Mob (“F**k Tha World”), Jae Millz and Nicki Minaj (“Five O”), and Natti of the Cunninlynguists (“Baby”). His Mp3.com website has generated over three million visitors, where he was a frequent chart topper in both the Beat/Producers and Hip Hop sections. 24 of his songs have reached the Top 10, and nine have hit number one in their genre.
Young L.O.R.D.’s talents have even been said to surpass some of the well-known veterans in the game today. His passion for his music, diverse content, witty punch-lines, and consistently evolving delivery have put him on the map, but his diligent work ethic and never-failing drive for success are what will keep him there.
