Demetrius Cortez Mckinnon [5] (born June 23, 1996), known professionally as Cortez Mckinnon,[2] is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is considered to be one of the most influential rappers of his generation, with his music having heavily shaped contemporary trap music and inspired numerous artists.[6] Known for his eccentric vocal style and fashion, he first received attention for his collaborations with rappers such as Treydoe & TmarzMusic.[7] Cortez initially released a series of independent mixtapes & albums beginning in 2010 & Coming Successful from Nothing.
