King aka Mr. I Don't Rap Kinte Lanier Altamonte Springs A Florida native, Kinte Lanier began "Beat Making" under the name "King" in 2019. His initial passion was Anime and movie soundtracks but after running into an old friend (Eyem1), who is a lyricist, Hip Hop took a front seat. King's production style, which consist of "that old school flavor with a new feel", stems from his experience studying Anime music, movie soundtracks and his love for 90s Hip Hop music. His earlier childhood influences were Billy Joel, Guns N' Roses and Tom Petty. Songs like Uptown Girl, Sweet Child of Mine and Runnin' Down a Dream were heavy influences in King's choices of melodic samples. Another childhood influence was no other than the greatest performer of all time, Michael Jackson himself. His drum choices are usually a mixture of 90s Boom Bap and 80s Disco, calm kicks and fast paced percussion. Which describes his personality, calm demeanor but unrest on the inside. He has been quoted saying "I want my music to have its own personality and aura. I want it to take you to a place you haven't been since you were innocent". King has teamed up with Eyem1 to put out eight singles and one EP (The Hopeless EP) to date. More Info
