A trip to Andalusia, just a few hours' drive from the recording studio in the Algarve. A small town called El Rocío, no streets, just sand. And horses, like in a Western movie. But it's so different, so unlike anything else. What makes El Rocío so unique is not only the picturesque village itself, but also the people and their way of life. In every bar and restaurant there is flamenco, palmas (hand clapping), acoustic guitars and that special kind of emotion that characterises the Andalusians. Music permeates everything: the Sevillanas Rocieras (a flamenco-inspired form of singing and dancing from Andalusia) that can be heard until dawn.
All these vibes shaped the sessions at the Bahama Studio and created this kind of... let's call it flamenco lounge.
‘El Rocío’ combines relaxed, atmospheric elements of chill-out with driving rhythms and beats of house music. All this, of course, and undoubtedly in the typical Bahama Soul Club sound with its unmistakable midas touch. Olé
