Clap Kent // Sculptures

Music has always been an essential part of Jacobo García López de Araujo. After a decade agitating Madrid’s nightlife with projects focused on culture and community such us Self-Care or The Bourbaki, he moves to Barcelona in 2021. Record colector and DJ, his selections are deep and careful, taking forgotten gems and presenting them with a close perspective, slightly looking to the left of the horizon.

In these years he has played in clubs like Nitsa, Sisyphos, Café Berlín, Razzmatazz, Virage Paris, Departamento Studio Bar, Dabadaba, Brilliant Corners, Laut, La Terrrazza, Pikes Hotel, Bar Oriente, and in festivals like Primavera Sound, Soundit or Kamiwaza sharing the stage with artists like Paula Tape, The Hacker, Peach, Shanti Celeste, DJ Tennis, Bradley Zero, Fantastic Man or Todd Terje.

In 2023 Clap Kent has released tracks for compilations of the labels DRecords and MM Discos. He also released his first album in March, under a new pseudonym: Sculptures, a conceptual record inspired in the hipocratic theory of humors.
