Yazan Sarayrah | يزن صرايرة Yazan Sarayrah Amman Growing up within a Bedouin community, Yazan was drawn to the desert’s timeless rhythms, but it wasn’t until he touched his first MIDI controller that he found a new way to express these sounds His debut releases, "Sareh" and Album “Sharq Ettabbana” (English for “East of the Milky Way”), gave life to his musical vision initially through hypnotic live looping, culminating into a signature psychedelic electro-rock sound. His current work builds on his roots introducing microtonal textures inspired by Middle Eastern Maqamat, Nabatean poetic lyrics fused with progressive melodic techno. Yazan's music dives into the core of identity and heritage, drawing listeners into the stories of historic landmarks and figures that shaped his broader region. It is a statement of belonging, a call to embrace and celebrate native traditions and culture, while navigating the ever-present pull of modernity. Yazan aims to be part of a larger movement that reclaims cultural identity and heritage, presenting it through the perspective of the land's native people, free from self-orientalizing distortions or biases. Follow Yazan’s releases from his upcoming album ‘Sada Moab’ (Echoes of Moab).
