Chasen Senem comes from the repertoire of Romanian-born cymbalom player Joseph Moskowitz. A popular performer and “ethnic” recording artist with a cosmopolitan musical outlook, Moskowitz would also regularly entertain celebrity guests at his Second Avenue restaurant in New York.
The second two tunes are from Gav’s ‘Horizons’ tune collection. Filthy Lucre is a fully raised eyebrow response to the delights of capitalism. The last tune celebrates joy and freedom - in this case, Latvia declaring independence from the Soviet Union.
