The title refers to the final book of the New Testament, and in particular the apocalyptic vision '...and I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.' Revelation was commissioned by James Stretton for Orichalcum, who gave the first performance in May 2023. This recording was made by James Stretton, playing all trumpet parts. Genre brass ensemble
