Introducing Joschua from Switzerland, the DJ behind the project Josewa and co-founder and label manager of No Nation Productions. With a passion for electronic music, his journey began in 2012 at small local gatherings in the magical forests of northern Switzerland.
In 2015, at just 18 years old, he took his love for electronic beats to the next level by organizing events in the local woods and underground clubs with his friends. It was during this time that the label No Nation Productions and the DJ project "Spaced Out Monkeys" were formed. Together with his label mate Ian Warden, they focused on creating driving and atmospheric Psytrance mixes.
In 2020, he went traveling in Southeast Asia and spent one and a half years in Nepal due to the worldwide Corona crisis. This is when his solo project was born, and he received the Nepali name Josewa from the locals. He played different kinds of underground electronic music at many gatherings in the Himalayan mountains, the Pokhara valley, and the club scene of Kathmandu. The highlight was playing an 8-hour DJ set mixed with many mantras at the Shivaratri Festival in the holy Pashupatinath, one of the most sacred temples of Hinduism in Nepal.
No Nation Productions focuses on underground gatherings in the Swiss woods and mountains, the No Nation Festival, and the podcast series @No-Nation-Radio.
