This is another simple one mic recording. I sometimes like to do this, if it feels right. This one does to me, and sometimes I would struggle to get an authentic vocal if I wasn't playing guitar at the same time, feels a bit more real. Also I've been quite busy over the summer, so it's nice to get a quick song out, and maybe I can do another version at a later date.

Bit of a sombre one, I've had this song kicking about for a little while, keep coming back to it, so thought I'd share it, in its most basic form. I'm playing my Epiphone Dove here, the picture is an old Taylor, that I sadly don't have anymore.

Cheers for listening, as always greatly appreciated.

Dear Satellite,

it all seems so long ago
when I told you everything I know
turns out that I
don't really know that much at all

golden trinket and watch
come on in boys you can take the lot
but I never really thought that I'd got
anything you'd want

Dear Satellite,

pick up my blues
thee only girl that I'm gonna choose
is you

seeds sown in happiness
keep blooming weeds but
roots they are steeped in bliss
now that I've started to take my head
outa the abyss

but dark time I frequent still
could make a mountain right out of
a molehill
but you reassure me that
I was never really that ill

Dear Satellite,

pick up my blues
thee only girl that I'm gonna choose
is you

you

then you shout up and ask me
what I'm doing now
and I answered I'm still
figuring it out
