Hedon Festival - Sunrise Closing Set by Theydream

Dear old & new friends,

After retiring our 7 year DJ career at the end of 2022, we were both extremely excited and nervous by the idea to play a set in front of our friends, a lot of whom have never seen us play. When Stefan asked us to play at his birthday festival several weeks / months ago, we took the opportunity and started preparing what would ultimately become the best set that we have ever played.

Somehow, the set ended up perfectly representing and summarizing all our current and past emotions in connection to music, the nostalgia and the energy that we had experienced during our years as brothers on tour. From evergreen tracks that we used to play a lot, to custom productions with 90ies music, as well as specific tracks that mean a lot to us personally, it feels like a proper legacy set that we can be proud of.

Even though we came well prepared, we did not anticipate what would happen at 5am on that Sunday. The energy from everyone was insane from the get go and never seemed to drop down for 2 hours straight. Several times during the set we were completely overwhelmed by all the emotions and energy, we couldn't believe how lucky we are to experience this. We were deeply moved being in this amazing setting, surrounded by people that we love, who celebrated with us until the very end, especially after three very intensive nights.

In the days that followed, we received so many heartfelt messages from you guys that really meant the world to us. Listening to the set now, we get to relive all these amazing moments on the dancefloor, forever imprinting the experience into our minds.

We promise to return one day with the same passion and energy, striving to make it special all over again. Until then, we will enjoy our retirement a bit more!
