Brighton Beach by Joey Green & The RayVille Big Band published on 2024-03-19T00:23:30Z This track was multi-track recorded live at a rock venue called Reigen in Vienna, Austria on September 16th, 2023. The composition was written and arranged by trombonist Alex Lag. In 2016, Alex got the chance to visit New York City and was lucky enough to have some time exploring Brooklyn. Well, he ended up in Brighton Beach on a boardwalk by the shore. He heard a person playing music through some speakers there and a song he heard a song which stayed with him and thus " Brighton Beach" was eventually composed! The 18-piece powerhouse RayVille Big Band has been inspiring audiences in Austria since 2015. Co-founder and vocalist Joey Green lived in Vienna from 1999 until 2019. Known for their authentic, musical tributes to iconic artists such as Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and more recently Billy Joel, (wait till you hear THEIR version of Zanzibar!) these live tracks are a departure in the sense that the band is now creating original, dynamic, music of their own. If you like these live recording, don't forget to follow RayVille as more tracks from this amazing live performance will be posted in the coming days and weeks ahead on Soundcloud, Spotify, Apple, etc.... What's more, if you are fortunate enough to be in Vienna on Saturday, April 20th at (8:30 pm) you can catch them LIVE at Reigen!
