"Concerto for Violin: Paths to Dignity" by Lucas Richman addresses the connections between homelessness and mental health as well as the role the Arts can play in restoring humanity and dignity to the ever-growing population of displaced citizens. Violinist Mitchell Newman, for whom the piece was written, has taken up the mission of forging relationships between musical organizations and homeless advocacy institutions in each city in which the work is being presented.
