Valis: The Fantasm Soldier was originally made for the Japanese NEC PC-8801 home computer in 1986, but I first saw it on an MSX. It has a cool soundtrack composed by Shinobu Ogawa, albeit somewhat limited by the sound hardware of the time. A few years later, I played the 1991 Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) remake, which has an awesome soundtrack and is the main inspiration of this arrangement, made for the Konami VRCVII (also known as VRC7) sound chip.
